Summer day trip look

Summer style this year is looking a bit different. I find myself revamping my old favorites and adding in a few key pieces to change up the look.

Same went for my trip up to Kingston, NY this weekend to visit a few friends who recently bought a house there. It was going to be a HOT day, I knew we’d be outside walking around town - shopping, and I was going to have to dress accordingly.

While out shopping I snapped this quick photo and posted it to my stories, and WOW! The response from you all blew me away. Where did you get your hat? Where is that dress from? That bag!

The perfect summer hat - this is a summer staple. So much so that I keep one in NYC and one I’m CT. It is under $25, totally packable and is good for a day of shopping or a day at the beach. I like the A-Khaki color the best but it comes in over 20 other colors as well

J.Crew Cabana Oversized Sunglasses - I’ll admit it, I love these sunglasses. This is the style I have in silver glitter that I always get compliments on. I have this pair in a few different colors I love them so much! They are well made and the price point is perfect for buying multiple pairs. Here are my top J.Crew favs.

J.Crew Factory Midi Dress - My exact dress was from Old Navy a few years ago but this one from J.Crew Factory is a dead ringer! It’s a cool cotton and light in color, perfect for a warm day of shopping.

Woven Tote - Unfortunately that beautiful pink and orange handbag is one I found last summer at TJ.Maxx. It seems to be a unicorn as I can’t find it anywhere else online. Next best option is this tote with the beautiful blue and white liner and colored tassels.

White Eva Sandal - I have been living in both these and my Pink Eva Birkenstocks all summer long. They are quick to throw on, lightweight and super comfy for road trips or walking all day.
I regretted not buying them sooner last year because size do sell out quickly!

Overall a great summer look that will keep you cool and attainable on a decent budget!
